If
we take a closer look at the items we use in our daily lives, we
would find that most of them are mass-manufactured in factories. But
what exactly makes this possible? It is due to the technological
advances, that we have upgraded our machines and equipped them with
the ability to work for longer hours, without losing any efficiency.
As
there are several types of machines which work under diverse
industries, a layman can’t get familiar with all of them.
Therefore, to give you a head start, here are two of the most common
machines which are used across various industries:
It
refers to a small machine which has to be operated manually.
Generally, it is used for micro-tasks such as the removal of bearings
and installation and configuration of bearings.
There
are three types of such presses- single lever press, ratchet press
and the compound leverage press. The single lever press is the
simplest one to use as it has the least moving parts while the
compound leverage press is generally used for hefty applications.
However, it is the ratchet press which is the most prominent one
amongst them.
Pneumatic
Press
This
press works through pressurized air in which the air is enforced into
a duct. This is followed by the discharge of pressure which causes
the press to go downward. Once a single stroke is done with, the
pressurized air is released through a network of valves, and the pump
moves up again.
